CQM T&C Delighted to be Recognised in 2 Categories at Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards return to main news

CQM Training & Consultancy are extremely proud to announce 2 of their clients, Thorntons and Arla have successfully reached the finals of the highly regarded Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards.

The Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards organised by Food Manufacture magazine are now well-established in their 14th year. The awards provide a benchmark for all those wishing to aspire to world class standards in food excellence. They differ from other industry awards in that they recognise the manufacturing achievements rather than end products.

After much hard work and dedication to her Food Manufacturing Excellence Level 3 apprenticeship delivered on site by CQM T&C, Jodie Adcock, Line Leader at Thorntons is one of only 6 to be nominated for the highly sought after ‘Young Talent of the Year’ award. Jodie has been able to demonstrate considerable aptitude in applying her training and understanding of Continuous Improvement processes to have a direct effect upon the business.

The Food Manufacturing Excellence awards have also acknowledged the exceptional merits of Arla’s Dairy Food Manufacturing Excellence (DFME) training programme which has reached the short list for the hotly contested ‘Training Programme of the Year’ category.

DFME is an innovative collaboration between Arla, CQM T&C and Reaseheath College to design a qualification specifically for the Dairy industry. It focuses upon simultaneously building Dairy Technical Competence Skills whilst embedding a strong understanding and application of Continuous Improvement processes. Others nominated in the category include: Chilled Food Association, Fairfax Meadow, Hovis, Kinnerton Confectionery and Tulip.

Peter Booth, Managing Director, CQM Training and Consultancy Ltd applauded the nomination adding, “It is an amazing accolade all round for everyone involved in Arla’s successful nomination. We are immensely proud to be delivering the training and to have been involved in the development of such an effective and innovative programme. DFME will make a significant impact upon building skills within the dairy industry and highlights the need for a programme of this calibre across the entire sector.”

Being short listed for the awards is a tremendous achievement in itself, and CQM T&C are looking forward in anticipation to the awards ceremony on the 20th November when the winners will finally be announced.
