Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2015: Worldwide Fruit Spalding Shortlisted in 2 Categories return to main news

More excellent news for one of our clients, Worldwide Fruit Spalding, who have been shortlisted for 2 categories in this year’s prestigious Food Manufacture Excellence Awards.

The international fruit marketing and distribution company has been shortlisted for Fresh, Chilled and Dairy company of the year, finding themselves up against the likes of Mash Direct, Samworth Brothers, Willowbrook Foods, Wyke Farms and Yorvale.

Congratulations also go to Amber Wild, Print Room Champion Trainee at Worldwide Fruit, who has been shortlisted for Young talent of the Year following her Food Manufacturing Excellence Apprenticeship training with CQM Training & Consultancy Ltd and the implementation of a particularly successful improvement project.

Andy Cheshire, Managing Director, CQM Training & Consultancy Ltd, commented “We are extremely proud to be sharing this occasion with our client, Worldwide Fruit. The company has gone from strength to strength in recent years and to be shortlisted in the Fresh, Chilled and Dairy category not only underlines their achievements but signifies how far they have progressed”.

“I am thrilled that once again, a Young Apprentice that has received our training is nominated for the Young Talent award. There is such a vital need to encourage more young talent into the food and drink industry, and these youngsters have the ability to champion the sector amongst their peers”.

Nearly 50 of Britain’s leading food and drink manufacturing firms feature in this showcase of excellence. From modestly-sized businesses, with a few employees, to manufacturing giants employing many thousands – the best of British food and drink manufacturing will be present.

For the second year running, the FMEAs will feature the Young Talent of the year award, designed to recognise the next generation of youngsters likely to make a big impact on the food and drink manufacturing industry of tomorrow.

The winners of this year’s Food Manufacture Excellence Awards will be announced during an evening hosted by TV’s Mark Durden Smith on 3rd November at the Lancaster London Hotel.
