Bakkavor Hitchen Foods Shortlisted for Training Programme of the Year at Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2017


CQM Training & Consultancy Ltd are delighted to announce Bakkavor Hitchen Foods have reached the finals of the prestigious awards ceremony. Their successful entry for ‘Training Programme of the Year’ at the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards focused strongly on developing the right behaviours and changing culture to deliver a significant ROI for the company.

CQM T&C have been working with Bakkavor Hitchen Foods since 2014 delivering a programme with an emphasis on Continuous Improvement. This has grown to incorporate the development of Young Talent within the business. The programme is currently broadening its reach to the development of Senior Managers, with delivery of the new Operations Manager Level 5 standard, and a cohort of production operators starting the Food Process Operator Level 2 apprenticeship.

Throughout delivery they have been committed to releasing the learners for training and Senior Managers have given considerable support to aid the implementation of projects. To date, thanks to the training programme the company has identified in excess of £500k savings.’


Bakkavor Hitchen Foods will be up against; Alpen (Weetabix), Dawn Meats, Norseland and Weetabix at the glamorous awards ceremony, hosted by Rugby World Cup winner Matt Dawson, on 1st of November at London’s Park Lane Hotel.

The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards celebrate the best of the best within the UK’s fast-growing food and drink industry.
