That’s why we created the Authentic Leaders Programme – a flexible, practical and impactful development experience designed to build confident, capable leaders from the inside out.

Launched in 2022, in collaboration with Springboard Consultancy, this flexible, hands-on development programme supports managers at different stages of their leadership journey, whether they’re new to people management or stepping into senior, strategic roles.

Delivered predominately at Level 3 and Level 5, it brings together personal development with essential leadership skills in a way that is engaging, relevant and immediately applicable.

Practical, Skills-Based Learning that Sticks

What makes the Authentic Leader Programme stand out is its focus on action – not theory. Participants explore their values, behaviours and leadership style through three core modules:

  • A Fresh Look - self-awareness and values.
  • Activate Authenticity - emotional intelligence and leadership styles.
  • Future Focus – barriers, planning and embedding learning.

These are supplemented by optional modules like Building Resilience, Leading Across Borders, and Coaching & Mentoring, which allow the programme to be adapted to real business challenges.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the programme encourages reflection, experimentation and the development of a personal leadership plan that aligns with company culture and goals. It can also be ILM-accredited, leading to a Level 3 or 5 Certificate or Award in Leadership and Management.

Global semiconductor company, Diodes Incorporated, has embraced the Authentic Leader Programme across its teams since 2022.

Managers at various levels in the business have completed both Level 3 and Level 5, with one delegate now considering a Level 7 Masters qualification demonstrating the clear pathways and progression opportunities Diodes have created within their leadership pipeline.

Flexible delivery: A bespoke solution for PHINIA

PHINIA, a global, market-leading premium solutions and components provider, required a leadership solution tailored to its global workforce.

CQM T&C delivered two bespoke modules in Turkey from its Authentic Leader programme – Raising Profile and Stress & Resilience – as part of a wider Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training course.

The tailored sessions helped emerging leaders apply leadership theory in real time, within their own sales and project environments.

A Unique Learner Perspective

Ben Putelbergier, Compliance & Improvement Lead, studied the ILM Authentic Leader Level 3 programme in 2022 after he joined Diodes Incorporated and then progressed to the Level 5 course.

Ben Putelbergier explains: “The purpose of undertaking the Authentic Leader (ILM) programme was to develop my managerial skills further, especially my ability to lead, motivate and inspire my team. I also wanted to explore strategic leadership and progress to that higher level.”
