During his time with the company he has effectively led and implemented several CI projects that have delivered significant savings for the company.
The TMMX Awards pay particular attention to the young people making a real difference in their companies and to the sector. A total of ten individuals have been shortlisted as Young Manufacturer of the Year.
Joe is competing with some of the best young talent in manufacturing from across the country. Finalists in the Young Manufacturer category include representatives from: Atlas Copco Henrob, Gripple Limited, IMI Precision Engineering Ltd, Lander Automotive, Leyland Trucks, Paragon ID, and Pladis Global.
With a combined heritage spanning four decades and the UK’s largest celebration of manufacturing, The Manufacturer MX Awards is the most prestigious programme of its kind.
Delivered by The Manufacturer magazine, in association with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, this annual programme is recognised to have the most rigorous judging process as our panels of experts visit the finalists to see them in action and quiz the business leaders.
The awards evening will be held on the 14th November in Liverpool, with the winners being announced during a gala black-tie dinner at the Exhibition Centre.
Nick Peters, Editorial Director of The Manufacturer, said, “There are dozens of awards programmes in the manufacturing sector, but The Manufacturer MX Awards stands head and shoulders above them all. And that is why great companies like McLaren Automotive are so eager to take part, because they know they are being tested in a way no other programme can offer. It’s demanding, but companies embrace it because, perhaps for the first time, they are being benchmarked against the best. So, congratulations to our short-listed companies. We look forward to meeting you on the judging tour in September and at the gala awards ceremony in Liverpool in November. May the best companies win!”
Andy Cheshire, Managing Director, CQM Training & Consultancy Ltd, commented “Joe has been an exemplary apprentice and has shown great talent in applying his new skills within his workplace to maximise the outcomes for Beaver Visitec International. I wish him the very best of luck for the evening”.
The Manufacturer MX Awards are an incredible reflection of the diversity, innovation and expertise that British manufacturing has to show. The awards aim to spread best practice, inspire others and show the important role UK manufacturing plays in today’s economy.
