How to get Six Sigma Certification
The first step to getting certified is to have already been involved in quality-related projects or lean management processes. Assuming this, there are then three levels of certification.
Yellow Belt is the basic entry-level certification. Next, the mid-level Green Belt requires three years of experience in the above-mentioned areas. Six Sigma Black Belt is the top-level certification and can be achieved via two possible routes. Firstly, one can have Green Belt requirements plus one completed project with a signed affidavit. Alternatively, one can have experience and evidence of two completed projects with affidavits.
Usually, the process of study and completion can take from one to three months.
