Thornton's Youngster Shortlisted for Manufacturer Awards
After completing an Apprenticeship in Food Manufacturing Excellence, Level 3 delivered by CQM Training & Consultancy, Jodie Adcock, a Line Manager at Thorntons has successfully reached the finals of The Manufacturer Awards 2014
CQM Training & Consultancy Ltd are extremely proud to announce that Jodie Adcock, Line Manager at Thorntons, has successfully reached the finals of The Manufacturer of the Year Awards 2014 earning herself a place on the final short-list for the hotly contested ‘Apprentice of the Year’ category.
After completing 2 consecutive apprenticeships with CQM Training & Consultancy in ‘Improving Operational Performance’ Level 2 and ‘Food Manufacturing Excellence’ Level 3 at Thorntons, CQM T&C were able to gather convincing evidence to create a strong nomination for Jodie to be put forward as Apprentice of the Year.
The Manufacturer of the Year Awards is dedicated to recognising and celebrating industry achievement and highlighting the diversity and strength of UK manufacturing. The awards aim to spread best practice, inspire others and show the important role UK manufacturing plays in today’s economy.
The competition is remarkable in its diversity, with finalists from nearly every sub-sector of manufacturing. The short-list for The Manufacturer of the Year Awards 2014 revealed that over 60 companies have made the first cut across 14 categories. Short-listed companies will be invited to meet and engage with each of the category judges for the second round of the competition on October 7 at Aston Villa Football Club.

This year’s awards were launched at the House of Commons on March 3 and sponsored by Margot James MP and attended by Defence Secretary Michael Fallon. More than 200 senior business leaders turned out for the launch to support TM’s hard work in improving the image of manufacturing in the UK and inspire manufacturers to increase competitiveness.
