– Apprenticeships are relevant for all people of all ages, from entry level to senior management and therefore are not just for school leavers
– Funded by the Government’s Apprenticeship Levy Scheme and programmes have a minimum duration of 12 months and 1 day
– They span from levels 2 to level 7, with levels 6 and 7 representing the equivalent qualification of a full Bachelor’s Degree and Masters Degree respectively
– Provide real benefits for the learner, through their professional development and gaining a nationally recognised Apprenticeship qualification
– Combine workshops, coaching and other Off the Job Training elements amounting to 20% of overall working time
– Provide true benefits to the organisation, attracting, retaining and developing people to achieve significant return on investment and greater performance
Apprenticeships are designed to develop the key knowledge, skills and behaviours of apprentices in line with the appropriate Apprenticeship Standard they are studying. They provide a very valid and nationally-recognised qualification.
Apprenticeship Standards today span entry level to senior management, with the highest standards being the equivalent of a University Masters Degree. CQM Training & Consultancy delivers from levels 2 through to 6.
Apprenticeships have been built by industry for industry, so the outcomes, learning and development of apprentices during the programme really do make a true, measurable difference for the learner and the organisation alike.
Apprenticeships are funded by the Apprenticeship Levy, so therefore they are easily accessible and make for a shrewd investment for both learner and organisational development.
The learner or organisation they work for will have likely identified a relevant Apprenticeship Standard that would benefit them. This Apprenticeship Standard will provide them with the key Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours to complete the programme and implement into their day-to-day role, supporting their progression opportunities and developing their professional profile.
Apprenticeship Standards are completed by ensuring apprentices spend 20% of their overall working time on their Apprenticeship, known as Off the Job Training. Off the Job Training has a variety of factors that contribute, including attending engaging workshops and 1:1 coaching, but also undertaking project work or implementing learnings in day-to-day activities.
At the tail end of the programme, once the training provider, apprentice and organisation are all happy, only then will the apprentice move on to take their End Point Assessment, the elements of which are determined by the specific Apprenticeship Standard they are taking on. Subject to passing the assessment (or hopefully Merit or Distinction), the apprentice will gain a nationally recognised qualification.
